How to Apply for the NIV

The NIV application process involves two stages:

1. Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)

• EOIs can be submitted online via the Department of Home Affairs website.

• Submitting an EOI is free and does not count as a visa application.

• EOIs remain in the system for two years, during which candidates may receive invitations based on priority criteria.

2. Visa Application

• Only candidates invited by the Department of Home Affairs may apply.
